A brand new, boutique recording & rehearsing facility for solo musicians, bands and corporate projects.
SMART | ACADEMY
A private tuition service that not only offers lessons in electric guitar, acoustic guitar, bass guitar, keyboard/piano and drums.. but also in writing and recording!
THE STUDIO
We offer you the chance to rehearse and record your material in a friendly, relaxed & professional environment in our live room and vocal booth. Once you feel confident your riff, beat or vocal line is ready, we hit 'RECORD' and bring your tracks to life. Our experienced team of recording and post-production engineers will be on hand to see your project gets only the best treatment from the beginning to the very end.
Smart Studio is run by Tom Murrill; a multi-genre composer for TV and Film, who has many years experience recording various platforms of audio which include: live bands, solo acts, ADR, Voiceovers and musical scores. Not only are we able to record your work, but we can offer impartial advice and guidance at an experienced and professional level to make sure you get the best out of your performance, and ultimately your project.
THE ACADEMY
Smart Academy is open to anyone of any age and experience level. Whether you just want to learn how to play an instrument or how to write music and ultimately take it to a recordable level, we are on hand to help. If you've always wanted to learn an instrument but never been quite sure exactly which one to pick up first, your first lesson is FREE. And if you still can't decide, we can divide up the lesson structure and teach you whichever combination you choose!
Smart Academy also offers recording studio practice lessons for the more advanced musician or aspiring studio engineers! Private tuition available for "out-of-the-box" digital music production across an array of genres, as well as programming, mixing and audio/MIDI editing.
Learn to play instruments and record music in a real studio environment. On-site waiting room available for parents or students complete with tea, coffee, mineral water, WIFI & Netflix!
All first studio bookings are entitled to 50% off any day or half day slot, and all first hour lessons at the Academy are free!
