British artist Levon Biss explains his unique photographic process that allows us to view insects in stunning microscopic detail.  Although his subjects can be as small as 3mm, his images are created from over 8,000 separate photographs and take over 3 weeks to create.  Levon shares the first images from his current project that focuses on insects encapsulated with Amber.  These specimens are between 45-50 million years but Levon’s photographs still allow us to study these tiny creatures within their precious time capsules in fine detail. Levon Biss is a British artist specialising in extreme macro photography.  His complex photographic process explores the microscopic world in fine detail, providing a unique perspective of insects.  Levon’s images make the invisible visible and provide his audience with an unexpected view of the tiny creatures we share the planet with.  His photography has been exhibited throughout the world and is in held in numerous personal and museum collections. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
