On the occasion of the
On the occasion of the 95th birth anniversary of our beloved MS Amma, we at Paramparaa1916 are very happy to share this vintage video recording of Smt M.S. and Smt Radha performing at the "Mummoorthigal Vizha" at Tiruvarur in 1986. The song rendered is Muttuswami Dikshitar's immortal "Kamalaambike Aashrita Kalpalatike" on the Goddess of Tiruvarur in Todi raga. Apart from the mesmerising performance it is also equally heartening to see Brahmasri Semmangudi Srinivasa Aiyar sitting in the audience lost in the delectable ocean of Todi. Unfortunately we do not possess the entire concert recording, only this one song.
