A fantastic grassroots ultramarathon along one of the most iconic national trails. The Challenge is an anual race taking in the West Highland Way in the southerly direction, from Fort William to Milnagavie. Every year a small group of participants take on the additional challenge of climbing Ben Nevis before joining with the main event. Out of 5 such runners this year, I was over the moon to finish first.
