GB Ultras Ultra Scotland 100 is a 106 mile ultramarathon set in Dumfries and Galloway and the Scottish Borders, taking in the section of the Southern Upland Way between St John's Town of Dalry and Galashiels...
This was my very first 100 miler and despite abnormal and unbearable heat on the day, I loved evey mile... The course was set to be a challenging one with 106 mile of mostly trail surface, some steep climbs and a total of 17300ft of elevation gain along the way but the scorching heat made it extremely difficult and caused 60% of participants to DNF... A huge well done to anyone taking part, whether you finished or not - the conditions were brutal this year. Big thank you to the organisers and volunteers for looking after us and encouraging us along the way. GB Ultras community is truly unique. Thank you all...
P.S.....A word 'BRUTAL' is used regularly during the video and you will see some fine examples of 'Runner's Math' and some huge 'Peaks and Troughs'...
