HOW TO MAKE A SOCK PUPPET DRAGON!

Using one sock & any craft materials you might have, you can make your very own fun Sock Puppet Dragon!

This is a workshop for all ages, but there will be SEWING and HOT GLUING so definitely have an Adult helping any Children.  You don’t have to sew AND glue: You can just SEW, or just HOT GLUE.  I will show both.

MATERIALS:
You will need:  A SOCK!
If you are using a large floppy sock, there’s a little extra folding instruction I will give, if you are using a small tight sock, you won’t need to do any folding to make it fit.  I will give instruction for both.
Optional Variable Materials:  If you can imagine it, try it!  Suggestions:  yarn, thread, pipecleaners, beads, buttons, pompoms, stuffing, felt, fabric, fun foam, faux fur, bells, sequins, google eyes, stickers, tape (duct, fabric, electric), markers, safety pins, paper (construction, file folders, matte board), scraps, bits, and bobs!

TOOLS:  
I recommend scissors, a sewing needle or sharp embroidery needle, needle-nose pliers, a hot glue gun, a marker and a couple big safety pins.  Other tools you might like to try:  an awl, a blade & cutting matte.
Important:  a JAR or TIN CAN!  This is to put the sock on, while you sew or glue the sock.
