How To Participate in A Virtual Puppet Parade!

This is the "How To March In A Virtual Puppet Parade" Instructional Video!

RoRo Art creates Virtual Puppet Parades for various events & organizations and if you are seeing this video, you probably saw a Call for Participation!

Smoogi and Sned will help to explain what a Virtual Puppet Parade is, and how to participate in one!  They'll share some information on how to shoot and send a puppet-marching video, and offer some camera & location tips, but be sure to check the Call For Participation that led you here for all the dates and any other important information!

Marching in a Virtual Puppet Parade:

Check the specific CALL FOR PARTICIPATION that led you to this video for all the dates and important information about whatever specific Parade is upcoming!!

Anyone who wants to participate in a Virtual Puppet Parade should record a short video of your puppet marching.  ANY kind of puppet is welcome!  You can get creative, but there are the steps to follow to be part of the Parade:

STEP 1:
A. Your video clip must be short! The puppet enters, crosses the screen, and exits, within a few seconds!
B. Cross the screen travelling from RIGHT to LEFT.
C. You can stop in the middle of the screen and do something fun if you want, but do it quickly!  (It helps to hum your own music, or count down the seconds.)
D. Music will be added to the parade when it is edited, so your video doesn’t need any sound. (But it’s okay if your character wants to cheer or roar!)
E. If you use your phone, shoot HORIZONTALLY. You can use any kind of camera.

STEP 2:
A. Email your video to [email protected]. Please use Wetransfer.com to send your file. It’s an easy-to-use file transfer service.
B. Please email Robin a short message to let her know that you are sending a video!
C. Robin will email you when she gets your video file to confirm your name and puppet’s name.  Please use the same email for Robin to reply to when you send your video, and check your spam folder – if you don’t hear from Robin within a few days, please email her directly.)  Thank you!
