One of Loch's teachers Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche wrote: "There are two kinds of mindfulness, deliberate and effortless."  

Effortless Mindfulness is the next stage of mindfulness, more advanced yet simpler than the deliberate mindfulness most of us know.
