The purpose of the Broken Arrow Drill is to serve as a continuation of the Archer Drill aimed in loosening and relaxing tight upper backs and shoulders. Kick on your side and raise your arm vertically, pause, bend the arm, spear into the water and rotate and repeat on the other side.

Helpful Tidbits:
- Keep the recovery arm relaxed.
- Focus on your hand entry leading with fingertips into the water.
- Pretend the bow string breaks before the release of the draw back.
