Alfred Tennyson - Poet Laureate


Born in rural Lincolnshire and often in those parts, including Mablethorpe, it seems, wrote many poems, both long and short, better and lesser known, more or less boring, during his lifetime.

Here are some biographical notes from a 1910 edition.  If you would like to make a pilgrimage, the Tennyson family home at Somersby is still there.
