The Basics: Overview of Japanese Printmaking. What is it? How are the prints made? My experience with the hobby. In this video, I use a presentation (slide deck) to explain the art of mokuhanga and how woodblock prints are made. I hope that this is helpful for someone who recently discovered Japanese printmaking, or someone who just started making prints. I already have an in-depth tutorial series about making your first print. I have not tried presenting info in a slide deck like this before, so please let me know what you think. Did this convey the information well? A big goal of my channel is to help beginners get into woodblock printmaking. I remember surfing the internet for all the videos I could find when I started. When I was doing this, I felt like there was not enough content directed at beginners.
