أبجدية حب اسمها هالقصيدة تكون
The letters of love .. Is the title of this poem
فطرس ردت جناحه حاء سين وياء ونون
The angel Fitrus regained his wings by the letters of Hussain’s name
هالشهر ربيع الأسماء
This month is the spring of names
نصفه ميم وهاء ودال وياء
The 15th of Shaban is Mahdi’s letters

هالأسماء الحسنى
These fine names
ماتخطها الأقلام
Are not to be inscribed by ink
اكليل وضل يلمع
A noble crown which eternally glimmers
يلفت جماله وسحره العين
Chanting the eyes by its beauty and magic
كل حرف وكل نقطة
Every letter and every dot
تجمعها الأحلام
Are gathered by dreams
روعة بس الأروع
Beauty, what is even more beautiful
أصل البداية حروف حسين
Is that the beginning is the letters of the name Hussain
وبوصلة الحب تندار بكل إحساس
A compass of love which spins in admiration
يم حروف العباس
By the letters of Abbas’ name
در وياقوت اليتناثر والماس
Gems and diamonds which are scattered

من الكمر أحلى وجماله يبهر الأنظار
More beautiful than the moon, his beauty stuns the sights
لزينب داراها عينه عباس أول ما صار
He glanced towards Zainab at the moment of his birth
هالشهر جماله الوضاء
The glowing beauty of this month

كوكب دري ونازل
A glowing globe which descends
من حسين السجاد
From Al-Sajjad son of Hussain
لابس تاج العصمة
He wears the crown of infallibility
طيور النوارس منّه تغار
The seagulls sense jealousy towards him
بالخامس ميلاده
His birth is on the fifth
قنديل الأعياد
A lantern of the celebrations
يا أفكار اتضمه
What thoughts can describe him
حتى الفرزدق شعره احتار
Even the masters of poetry sensed bewilderment
من هذا المبدأ وآيات الأنوار
From this origin and the verses of light
بسم الأكبر أسرار
The name of Al-Akbar holds secrets
ميلاده حروفه أطروحة إيثار
His birth and letters resemble humility
بسم الأكبر اسرار
The name of Al-Akbar holds secrets
لو لسان الحب يسولف عن جمال اثنين
If the tongue of love praises the beauty of those two
جلَّ رب الجلالة خالق أولاد حسين
Grace be to Allah who created the sons of Hussain
هالشهر يزين الأجواء
This month spreads joy
نصفه ميم وهاء ودال وياء
The 15th of Shaban is Mahdi’s letters

من حروف المهدي
From the letters of Al-Mahdi
أمواج الألطاف
Are the waves of benevolence
وبفرحة ميلاده
In the joyfulness of his birth
نقرا له ندبة شوگ ايعود
We recite a supplication (Nudba) of yearning for his return
من گد ما ننتظره
Due to the intensity of our awaiting
بينه الشوگ انشاف
Our yearning is visible upon us
ولساعة ميعاده
For the hour of his return
نفرش طريقه حب وورود
We’d fill his path with love and roses
من يظهر يملي المعمورة بالخير
When he returns he’d fill the universe with delight
ياكل من چفه الطير
Even the birds would eat from his generous palm
من يگدر يوصف احسانه بتعبير
Who can describe his benevolence in expressions
ياكل من چفه الطير
Even the birds would eat from his generous palm
مد جناحه اعله المشاعر بالفرح طاووس
The peacock spread his wings in joy
المهدي رابع محمد من كل حاسد محروس
Al-Mahdi is the fourth Muhammad, may he be guarded from envy
هالشهر تصرح أنباء
In this month, the news exclaim
