Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju has in recent weeks made it clear that he’s unhappy with the way judges are appointed in India. He’s called the collegium system alien to the Indian Constitution and has hit out at judges for being preoccupied with deciding appointments rather than dispensing justice.
