Justice KM Joseph's appointment as Supreme Court judge by CJI Dipak Mishra and the seniormost judges has brought to the forefront BJP's crusade against the Collegium System. We see this news on the front pages of our newspapers regularly but very few are aware how judges are appointed and how important this is to the independence of the judiciary and the Constitution of India.
