This video is a How to video about how I changed the rear brake pads. Remember that the e brake caliper will need to be retracted with a scanner or 12v battery but the other side is a regular caliper that can be compressed as shown in this video.

I did make a mistake and when I was compressing one of the calipers I applied to much pressure on the wiring that connects to the E brake and accidentally de pinned the wires resulting in having a brake system error code on the dash. I tried repinning the wires and wasn’t able to figure it out on my own so I went with a local mechanic and he told me that I popped a fuse and put the two wires wrong. $220 lesson learned please don’t make my mistake and just be very cautious when compressing the caliper. Other than that the job went smoothly. Another tip is you need to retract the electronic ebrake with a special tool or possibly a 12v battery (as seen on other videos on YouTube ) As always bring it to a professional and if you decide to do it do it at your own risk.

                    5 step guide
1. Raise the car and remove the wheel
2. Take off the tension wire & loosen the back 2 bolts with a 7mm
3. Remove caliper and old brake pads
4. Compress the caliper (with tool you can rent at local automotive store)
5.put new brake pads and reassemble

** Disclaimer this video is for entertainment purposes only and anything you see in the video was how I did it which did result in me making mistakes and causing me to take it to a professional. If you decide to do it I am not liable for any damages or anything that could happen to you or your car and I would recommend a professional to do the work for you **
