Backflushing is an important step in every coffee session as it eliminates oil residue that gives your coffee a bitter taste. This is why we have created this easy step-by-step guide on how you can perform a clear water backflush to ensure that every cup of coffee you make has a rich, full-bodied flavor.
Directions:
1. Empty the drip tray and locate the grey silicon cleaning disk supplied with your machine.
2. Place the disk into the filter basket and insert the portafilter into the group head.
3. Press the ‘Brew’ button to start the flow of water into the portafilter.
4. After around 20 seconds, stop the shot which discharges water into the drip tray.
5. Repeat these actions 3-4 more times for optimum results.
