The Giants Suite | God of War (Original Soundtrack) by Bear McCreary

Having not played the franchise at all prior, God of War (2018) was one of the most engrossing, emotional, and enjoyable video game stories I have experienced probably ever. One of the best parts of the game was the magnificent, meticulous, and ethnically rich score Bear McCreary crafted that remains one of the best video game scores I've ever heard. Though we never see them outside of Jormungandr and Thamur's corpse, the legacy and reign of the giants and Jötunheim are felt through the story and world of the game. McCreary created a theme that portrayed the weight, majesty, and grandeur of these behemoths, with a beautiful Nordic choir describing them in all their glory.
