You have come to the right place to see the best of Chiang Mai attractions, both the popular and little-known. Have fun with us as we see how far $20 will take us. How much adventure, exploring, fun and food can we fit into one day? Our $20 each (698 Thai baht) has to cover not only our activities but our meals as well. You will see that Chiang Mai is not only filled with great and wondrous things to do (how about a maze of hidden tunnels running under a temple?), but is also filled with fun and cheap things to see and experience. You can see firsthand the low cost of living in Chiang Mai in 2023, for both food and activities. You will see why so many people choose to live in Chiang Mai, or be like me and retire in Chiang Mai.
