Take a walk around Toronto LCBO former headquarters and warehouse demolition site & future site of Sugar Wharf Condos.

The LCBO's (Liquor Control Board of Ontario) former headquarters and warehouse on Lake Shore Boulevard just east of Yonge Street, from where LCBO retail and wholesale orders were once fulfilled, is now being demolished (partly) as the site is preparing for the construction of Menkes' Sugar Wharf Phase 2 Condominiums. The development's base would include both retained and reconstructed sections of the existing LCBO office and warehouse buildings. Much of the heritage retention will restore the original 1950s exteriors, though the reconstructed portion will be designed as a modern interpretation rather than a replica of the original.

The Demolition will lead to continued development of Sugar Wharf six-tower complex. A 25-storey office building, including a new LCBO headquarters (shown in this video in the background) — is practically complete, while a pair of condo towers ascend towards heights of 70 and 64 storeys to the north. Three more massive condos will be built here with heights of 90, 87, and 79 storeys.
