When is it OK for children to drink fruit juice? New recommendations for infants through age 18 are as follows:

Ages 0-12 months: NO fruit juices, only milk or water
Ages 1-3 years: 4 oz of juice per day
Ages 4-6 years: 4 to 8 oz of juice per day
Ages 7-18 years: 8 oz of fruit juice + 1 cup of fresh fruits & veggies.

When fruit is liquified into juice, it loses healthy nutrients & fiber, leaving a higher concentration of natural & refined sugars. When possible, we encourage you to hydrate first with good-ole fashioned H2O!
