Goose Hunting 2019 - Last Day Honker Smash

With our late goose season coming to a close we headed out to a farm pond to try and catch some geese that we had scouted coming into it. The crew included Jack, Drew, Emily (Jack's girlfriend) and myself. We setup along the shoreline in layouts using a combination of floater and field decoys in the corn field behind us. Pretty soon into the morning we had two big groups of geese come to the pond and despite the birds not working right and some extremely poor shooting we knocked down a few honkers. Emily was able to get her first ever goose in the second group as well! We didn't see many more geese but were able to scratch out a couple pairs along with a lonely single. The hunt ended on a high note as well as I was able to make a long shot on a crow just as we were about to pickup. The morning ended with 13 geese and a crow. I hope y'all enjoy!
