Wat Saket Ratchaworawihan (Wat Phukhao Thong) is located in Pom Prap Sattru Phai district, Bangkok. It is an old temple in the Ayutthaya period and is a very beautiful temple with a golden chedi standing tall and majestic in the middle of the metropolis.

#Phra_Borom_Banphot, this golden mountain chedi There is a great history as a Buddhist important place of #Wat_Saket_Ratchawarawihan. It was built by 3 Kings of the Chakri Dynasty, namely King Nang Klao Chao Yu Hua, King Mongkut and King Chulalongkorn. It took about 5 decades to build and is now over 200 years old. At the top is a glittering brass chedi, a replica of the chedi of Wat Phu Khao Thong in Ayutthaya province.

This golden mountain pagoda is about 100 meters tall and has a width around 500 meters in diameter. During the reign of King Chulalongkorn, His Majesty the King performed the royal ceremony to bring the Buddha's relics worshiped in the Grand Palace to be enshrined in Phra Chedi Phu Khao Thong for the first time in 1897. 2nd time, His Majesty graciously pleased to contain the Buddha's relics brought from the city of Kapilavastu India. The 3rd time, His Majesty King Rama IX presided over the royal relics in the chedi at the top of the Mondop on January 22, 1954.

In the monastery Wat Saket Ratchaworawihan (Wat Phukhao Thong) contains important buildings such as the Ubosot, which was built in the reign of King Rama I. Inside there are frescoes which were written in the reign of King Rama 3, but were damaged, so they were erased and rewritten in the reign of King Rama 7. There are images of Thotsachat, images of demons, and images of Tribhum around the Ubosot with parapet arches in all 8 directions.
The sema arch at Wat Saket, in the shape of an elephant coup, or a beautiful tiled façade in front of a lady, is a remarkable example of art.

hra Attharot Temple The roof is covered with glazed tiles, with "Chor Fah Bai Roka" adorning the gables on both sides. It houses two sacred Buddha images, Phra Attharot and Luang Por Dusit. It is also used as a place for the Maha Samai Sutra to make holy water during the Songkran Festival for distribution to the people.

Phra Attharot has the full name Phra Attharot Sri Sukhotsaphon Yanbophit. It is a Buddha image in the posture of prohibiting relatives in the art of artisans in the early Sukhothai period, 700 years old. It is the tallest standing Buddha image in Bangkok with a height of 5 wa, 1 cubit, 10 inches (21 cubits 1 inch). Cast in bronze, the whole body without connections is enshrined on the Chukchi in the temple.
Luang Pho Dusit is a Buddha image in the attitude of subduing Mara. There is a history that it was originally the principal Buddha image of Wat Dusit temple before. When King Chulalongkorn built Dusit Palace and Dusit Park, the area had to be expanded beyond Wat Benchamabophit and Wat Dusit.
