“I never really planned to become a YouTuber. It just happened, like a happy accident. I was uploading videos on YouTube, and before I knew it, I started gaining many followers. Honestly, I see it as a blessing of my deep faith in Buddhism. Maybe this is what I was meant to do—help others through the platform I’ve been given.
When I hit a million followers, I received the gold plate award. It felt like a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it. I dedicated the plate to His Holiness the Dalai Lama, and I even inscribed his name on it before presenting it to him. That moment was one of the most cherished in my life. There’s nothing else I could have asked for.
People often ask why I mostly help Indians, but the truth is, that I also help Tibetans whenever they need it. The only difference is that I don’t share those moments online. When I help people, it’s for my own happiness. It’s something that brings me joy and peace within myself.
I wasn’t always this person, though. Back in school, I was one of those naughty kids—the backbencher, always getting into trouble and being mischievous. I was punished more times than I can count, but deep down, I knew I was a good person. And I think that’s what matters the most—the kindness and goodness within.”
