Smoother, Firmer & More Precise Shifts. Row through the gears with ease courtesy of this Ford Racing Short Shifter. Fitting all 2015-2017 Mustang GTs equipped with the MT-82 manual 6-speed transmission, this shifter is designed to reduce your shift throw by up to 15% for precise and solid shifts every time. It is Reverse Lock-out compatible and also retains the Back Up Camera so you won't be losing any of the benefits of your Mustang's stock features.
Genuine Ford Racing Product. This is a genuine Ford Racing Shirt Throw Shifter and as such, bears the quality expected of the Ford Racing brand. Made from CNC-machined 6061 T6 billet aluminum and 304 stainless steel, the shifter features a black resin compound Ford Racing knob that matches nicely with the interior and will not be sensitive to temperature.
Moderate Mechanical Skill Required. This is by no means an easy installation, but with some mechanical know-how, a handful of tools, a pair of extra hands, and (ideally) a lift, you can get the job within two hours. Once the stock shifter is disassembled from inside the car, you will need to drop the exhaust, driveshaft, cross member and shifter housing in order to pull the stock assembly from your S550.
