Guitars Racks, Hangers and Stands or Just Keep Them in Cases? BEWARE! Things to Consider Before Purchase! I Look at The Hercules Guitar Rack Range
As I entered my guitar journey, having bought my first electric guitar in 40 years, it was not long before I began to look at keeping it on a guitar stand. Once I had bought a couple more I realised it was time to look for something else and so began the search for a guitar rack stand. Guitar racks and stands come in a varied range of types, shapes and sizes, and while in this video I show a good range of various products on the market; and having already owned a number of single type guitar floor stands, it was time to invest in a Guitar Rack Stand. After much searching I settled on the Hercules Rack Stand which in this review is set-up to hold 5 guitars, which it does with ease. By adding further extension kits the Rack Stand will accommodate up to 10 electric style guitars. Acoustic guitars can also be accommodated but clearly take up more space. The unit comes packed folded in a large box and once out of the packing, unfolds in seconds ready for immediate use. It should be noted that you can purchase further accessories for these stands while some models can be purchased with castors fitted.
Warning! regarding any type of stand or hanger, it is important to understand that certain rubber and or plastic materials, can have a chemical reaction with the guitar finish, particularly guitars that have nitro-cellulose lacquer finishes. This is something I look at in this video. If you are looking for a Rack Stand for your guitar collection, the Hercules range is definitely worth looking at… Enjoy!
