To prepare the cottage cheese and poppy seed pie you will need:

Streusel crumb:
• Flour – 300 gr
• Butter – 130-150 g
• Sugar – 100-150 g

Filling:
• Cottage cheese – 350 gr
• Poppy – 150 gr
• Semolina – 150 gr
• Sugar – 150-200 g
• Butter – 100-120 g
• Egg – 1 pc.
• Milk – 750 g
• Vanilla (vanilla sugar) – 1 pc.

Stages of preparing curd and poppy seed pie:

1. Prepare streusel:
• mix flour and sugar – stir
• add butter – grind into crumbs

2. Line a mold (diameter 24 cm) with parchment paper

3. Place 2/3 of the streusel crumbs in the pan - use a glass to form the bottom and base of the pie

4. Place the pan with the base in the refrigerator for 30-60 minutes.

5. Prepare the filling:
• in a deep bowl mix semolina and poppy seeds
• in a separate saucepan, mix milk, sugar, butter and vanilla – bring to a boil
• pour hot milk over semolina and semolina mixture – cover and leave for 15-20 minutes
• mix cottage cheese and egg - grind until smooth with an immersion blender
• mix the cottage cheese with the milk-poppy mixture - mix with an immersion blender until smooth

6. remove the pan with the base from the refrigerator and pour all the filling into it - level it out

7. Sprinkle the remaining streusel on top of the filling and smooth it out

8. Bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for +/- 60 minutes

9. Remove the cake from the oven and leave it in the pan until it cools completely.

10. Place the cooled pie directly in the tin in the refrigerator for 5-6 hours.

11. Before serving, decorate as desired.
