The Thailand Elite Visa with
The Thailand Elite Visa with new prices and benefits, released August 30, 2023 by Thailand Privilege, effective September 16, 2023, plus a look at the Elite Visa Thailand official new brochures. We will look at: the new prices for the 5, 10, 15 and 20 year Thailand Elite Visa, also known as Thailand Privilege, why people choose the Elite visa, old vs new benefits; why the changes were made; and how are holders of a current five-year Elite visa affected by the new visa changes if they wish to upgrade under the old terms (paying the balance of 400,000 baht).
The current Elite visa is great, but pricey, so not for everyone (although personally, I don't know if the new one is worth the money). But for many, like those under 50 who can't get a retirement visa, or don't wish (or can't) obtain the health insurance required of some visas (or show the required monthly pension/income; have a Thai bank balance of the required amount, et cetera), the Elite visa is the only option to stay long-term in Thailand, making it vital. This is especially true with the recent denials of many educational and volunteer visas due to widespread misuse, potentially affecting even those who were honestly in those categories.
