Ingredients:
Barnyard Millet: 1 Cup
Coconut: 1 Cup
Steamed Rice: 1 Cup
Salt: 1/2 Tsp
Baking Soda: 1/4 Tsp

Method:
1. Today lets check out how to make Barnyard Millet Aapam without yeast. This is a very delicious recipe with no compromise in the regular taste of the aapams  made using yeast, so lets quickly check out the ingredients and get started.
2. To a mixing bowl, add 1 cup of barnyard millet. To this add sufficient amount of water and wash it well. Barnyard millet is low in calorie, rich in fiber, it is a  gluten free food and a good source of iron.
3. Now drain off the water and keep it ready. To this again add sufficient amount of water. Close with a lid and let this rest for 4 hours.
4. After 4 hours, drain off the water and add it to a mixer jar. To this add 1 cup of chopped coconut and 1 cup of steamed rice, you can also use left over rice. Add  1/4 cup of water to this. Grind this to a very fine paste.
5. Transfer this to a Bowl. To this add 1/2 tsp of salt and 1/4 tsp of baking soda. Mix it well and our barnyard millet aapam batter without yeast is ready, so lets go  make the aapams.
6. Heat a aapam pan and pour in a laddle full of barnyard millet aapam batter. Spread it like this. Close with a lid and let this cook for 15 seconds. Its been 15  seconds, so lets now open and check. Our barnyard millet aapams are very nicely done. So lets now remove it. If you prefer your aapams to brown a little you can  cook for few more seconds. I like it a little white, so 15 seconds of cook time is good enough. Now our delicious and soft barnyard millet aapam s ready.  You can  serve this with either coconut milk and sugar or with some chicken or egg masala.
7. Very easy, delicious and healthy breakfast recipe, so do try this No yeast barnyard millet aapam recipe at your home and write back to me your feedback.
8. Happy Cooking!!
