STORYLINE:
At least six people, including three children and two women, were killed by Israeli bombardment in the southern Gaza city of Khan Younis, health authorities said on Tuesday.
The dead bodies were taken to the Nasser Hospital, the main medical facility in the city, and were counted by AP journalists at the scene.
Funeral prayers were also held in the hospital’s courtyard on Tuesday morning, before relatives took the bodies for burial.
The strike reportedly hit a house overnight in an area close to the European hospital, located in the eastern part of Khan Younis, which the Israeli military ordered its evacuation on Monday.
