The Killer Inside: The Ruth Finley Story, a Lifetime movie, is based on the true story of Ruth Finley, a Wichita, Kansas, woman who led police on a four-year chase to find a crazed stalker named "The Poet. Police thought her case was connected to the BTK Killer. The murders of Shirley Vian and Nancy Fox play out in the movie. The Killer Inside The Ruth Finley Story trailer shows Ruth Finley’s true story made headlines around 1980 when police first released a composite photo of the poet. Ruth first reported the letters and phone calls in 1978. Even more bizarre, this all unfolded during the BTK Killer’s reign of terror.
