Yoga Teacher Killer: The Kaitlin Armstrong Story is another riveting true story movie by Lifetime Television. Based on true events and ripped from the headlines, Lifetime Yoga Teacher Killer focuses on a deadly love triangle that made headlines in Austin, Texas, in 2022. That’s when Kaitlin Armstrong, a Bali-trained yoga teacher snuck into the home of her rival Moriah Wilson and ended her in a jealous rage.
And it was all over this guy, pro cyclist Colin Strickland. Detectives say the victim, fellow cyclist Moriah Wilson, had a romantic relationship with Colin Strickland, Kaitlin Armstrong’s live-in lover.

In Yoga Killer: The Kaitlin Armstrong Story on Lifetime, the first scene opens with the murder of Moriah Wilson. We can’t see the face of the killer, but it appears to be a woman. Quickly, the scene switches to Kaitlin Armstrong, a woman teaching a yoga and meditation class. Kaitlin is a no-nonsense teacher who takes her spiritual work seriously. And she expects her female students to do the same.
In the next few scenes of Yoga Teacher: The Kaitlin Armstrong Story Collin Strickland tells Kaitlin about an online app. It’s a GPS app that helps the gravel racers find each other. Kaitlin later downloads the app and finds it very interesting because this is a new way for Kaitlin to keep up with her man.
Now, it seems Collin doesn't understand how insensitive he is and how jealous Kaitlin can be. They are both ignoring the red flags. He tells Kaitlin the relationship with Moriah is over, and he only sees Moriah for work stuff.
He knows this isn't true. He’s still sneaking around. And he's still texting Moriah. When detectives close in, they find out Kaitlin has left the country for Costa Rica.
By that time, she had drastically changed her appearance by plastic surgery. She changed her nose and changed her hair. Investigators capture Kaitlin Armstrong while she teaches a yoga class.
At the end of Yoga Teacher Killer: The Kaitlin Armstrong Story, they state Kaitlin Armstrong was given 90 years in prison. Now, her story doesn't end there. While incarcerated, she tries to escape during a visit to the doctor. She now teaches her yoga and meditation classes in prison.
