Maintenance Free Battery Adding Distilled Water

The so called maintenance free battery isn’t maintenance free. The water in the electrolyte tends to evaporate. In hot summer the temperature under the hood can go easily to 140 °F / 60 °C. If the electrodes are exposed this part is dead and the capacity of the battery is decreased.
