We visit LOWER SLAUGHTER, The
We visit LOWER SLAUGHTER, The Cotswolds UK, Voted the most beautiful village in England. Lower Slaughter in Gloucestershire sits in The Slaughters deep in the heart of The Cotswolds in England and we take a walk around the village to see what's here.
Lower Slaughter is a small village on the River Eye, close to Upper Slaughter and between Bourton on the Water and Stow on the Wold in The Cotswolds, one of the most popular travel and tourism destinations in Britain.
The main tourist attractions in Lower Slaughter are the walk along the river, the Old Mill and Lower Slaughter museum and the St Mary's Church on Copsehill Road.
You can stay in Lower Slaughter if you're on a trip to the Cotswolds, either at The Slaughters Country Inn or maybe even the Slaughters Manor House Hotel.
There are other smaller places to stay if you wanted a holiday cottage, such as Thimble Cottage and Rose Tree Cottage on Malthouse Lane.
As we pass through the village we also see The Slaughters Village Hall on Becky Hill overlooking the River Eye and across at the village of Lower Slaughter.

2. Stow on the Wold - Hilltop town and English civil war battleground
3. Broadway - with a stunning high street and market

5. Bibury and Arlington Row - a historic medieval preserved row of cottages
6. Chipping Campden - with it's famous high street and shops
7. Burford - A medieval town with stunning views of the countryside
8. Tetbury - the most royal village in the Cotswolds
10. Castle Combe - voted the prettiest village in England
There are of course many more lovely Cotswolds towns and villages to visit so jump in the car and travel to this beautiful part of England.
