SC Issues notice to Centre on new law on appointment of CEC, ECs | Supreme Court | Elections

The Supreme Court on Friday declined to stay the newly passed  Chief Election Commissioner and Other Election Commissioners Act 2023.
that replaces the Chief Justice of India (CJI) by a cabinet minister from a panel that chooses the chief election commissioner and election commissioners.
