A 1951 Gibson L-48 Archtop Guitar with the original Gibson Soft Shell Case. What a Beauty. I could not believe what great shape this guitar was in. This Gibson Guitar plays fantastically with great easy playing action. The guitar is a 9.5 out of a 10 scale in playability and looks. The bridge can be raised or lowered for Player Preference. The only thing not original on this guitar is the tailpiece. The original was broken and thankfully I had a proper replacement for this beauty. It looks are works great now.. The the Case handle was missing so we also replaced than.. It works great now. The Tuners are original Kluson Single Line Closed backs. Original bridge and even the pickguard. Those are always missing.. Awesome Finish crazing on the original Gibson Sunburst finish..A lot of these have very high action making them unplayable. This one is an exception. It didn’t have a neck reset nor does it need one. Easy playing low action up and down the neck. It’s a real pleasure to play! The frets are original and also in excellent shape! Check those pics! The only malady I could find was a strap button had been installed some time ago. It was filled on the side. See pic 8. To find a 1951 Gibson Guitar that has no issues or cracks is quite a thrill for me. We all know that's what Gibson players and collectors look for. This one qualifies...I have a reasonable Buy it Now for this Classic Gibson L-48 Archtop Guitar. Grab it before its gone... You will love the sound of this Gibson. Very bright with booming bass that Vintage Gibson Guitars are known for. You will love this guitar. The original Gibson Soft Shell Case is as nice as the guitar. The handle was missing so we replaced it. All latches and hinges are present and working. Even the accessory box is still with this original Gibson case. Very nice case for this outstanding guitar. This guitar is beautiful but vintage and used so its sold as-is no returns. However, I have been handpicking my customers guitars for close to 20 years now and they have all loved the guitars I found for them. This one will not be an exception.
