TheBus is the transportation system here in Honolulu, Hawaii on the island of Oahu. It is ran and operated by both Oahu Transportation Services and Honolulu County. TheBus has two yards for the fleet which is Pearl City Manana and Kalihi-Palama. TheBus currently holds 480+ buses and 117 routes. It has been established and opened to the public in the year of 1971 and has been running since then.

Route W1 is one of the Waikiki Express Routes in TheBus system. The route services Waikiki heading down West to terminate at Ewa Beach. This route also services Hilton Hawaiian Village, Fort DeRusy, Kuhio Avenue, International Marketplace, Kapahulu, H1 Freeway, Waipahu High School, Pouhala Waipahu Transit Center Skyline Station, Westgate Center, Waipahu Shopping Plaza, Ho'ae'ae West Loch Skyline Station, Waipahu Town Center, West Loch Estates, and Ewa Town Center. The route runs from 4:40am through 7am and 4:00pm through 6:30pm. Route W1 is based off both the Pearl City Manana and Kalihi-Palama bus facility.
