Here are some easy tips to color grade Red Komodo footage on Final Cut Pro. These tips apply to any other footage. I have a very simple approach to color grading. Sometimes you have a video project that needs to be done quickly and you don't have all the time and skills for a full color grade on Davinci Resolve. This video is for you.
I just apply some simple tweaks and make my footage ready to rock. Color correction is the process of balancing all the color of different shots and then adjust them to fit a grade or look you like. Color grading final in final cut pro x is a very easy process.

1:08 Step 1: Balance the image. Expand shadows and highlights in the waveform monitor.
1:52 Step 2: Selective correction. Give more contrast to the image by affecting colors differently. For example make the shadows Tiel and the highlights Orange to create more contrast and that pop on your footage.
3:00 Step 3: Tweak and experiment. Some times I just play around with the controllers to find a look that I like. Not very scientific but super fun. :)
