Here is a clip from the 1952 Hollywood musical film "Hans Christian Andersen", directed by Charles Vidor and starring Danny Kaye. The lead vocalists on this song are Ray Linn Jr. and Danny Kaye. This clip also features Joey Walsh as Peter.
This song was written by Frank Loesser, and the version featured here is the original one; it was written for this film. The musical direction is by Walter Scharf and the orchestration is by Jerome Moross. This version was never released as an audio track. Another version, which was performed by Danny Kaye with Gordon Jenkins and his orchestra, was released as a single in 1952 (not 1953, as claimed by Wikipedia), and reached No. 5 in the UK. That version was later included as a track on the 1959 Danny Kaye album "Sings Selections From The Samuel Goldywn Technicolor Picture "Hans Christian Andersen" And Tubby The Tuba".
