Gregory Peck - Dual in the Sun (1946) - 3 Caught between two brothers

The good brother Jesse comes over to bid Pearl goodbye only to find out that she and Lewt had just done the deed. Pearl realizes what a terrible mistake she made and runs over to apologize to Jesse. Jesse confesses his feelings for Pearl but he knows they can't be together, whilst Lewt stops by to rub it in. The farewell scene between the two brothers is definitely memorable, and I gotta say Lewt deserves it. My favorite part is the expression on Lewt's face as he wipes off the blood from his mouth with that contempt. It shows Gregory Peck's versatility that he could be bad-to-the-bone when the script called for it... and boy, could he sing! He could serenade me ANY DAY!
