The Beehive Loop Trail is
The Beehive Loop Trail is a 1.3 mile moderate to difficult hike in Acadia National Park. It is a popular path, leaving from near the Sand Beach parking lot and climbing steeply up the side of Beehive mountain. Iron rungs and ladders help you navigate the rocks and cliff side. Once at the top, you have stunning views of Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. The trail back is a more leisurely switchback trail down the other side. You can also choose to go up to the top and back down on this easier trail. Despite being a bit scary if you are afraid of heights, the trail is marked and popular. It ended up being our favorite hike in Acadia!
