Bai Dinh Pagoda is a famous spiritual scenic temple and the largest Buddhist complex in Southeast Asia. Nestled on the western edge of the ancient capital Hoa Lu in Ninh Binh province, the complex covers a total area of 1700 hectares encompassing both the ancient Bai Dinh Pagoda and the new Bai Dinh Pagoda.

In this video we will be touring around the newly built Bai Dinh Pagoda.

You don’t need to be a Buddhist to appreciate the complex (although it would help) and you can easily spend hours taking in the vast temple grounds, enjoying the views, admiring the golden Buddha statues, the unique architecture and learning its history.

There are many items that hold records here. Bai Dinh Pagoda Stupa for example is the tallest Stupa in Asia and is said to be a place to worship the relics (ashes) of Gautama Buddha brought from India to Bai Dinh Pagoda in 2008.

Considered the largest complex of Buddhist pagodas in Vietnam this is definitely an indispensable destination in your handbook of where to go.
