If you want to show off your trip to Da Nang to your friends back home, there’s one must-visit spot: the famous Golden Bridge, also called the Golden Hand Bridge or Cau Vang in Vietnamese, is located some 1414 meters above sea level on the top of Nui Chua Mountain, Ba Na Hills, Da Nang.
The Golden Bridge is part of the amusement park located within the Sun World Ba Na Hills tourist complex and is incredibly popular, with everyone wanting to visit it when they’re in Da Nang.
The Ba Na Hills entrance ticket includes access to the resort, cable car, and most of the games in Fantasy Park. It also covers the climbing train to visit Debay Wine Cellar and Le Jardin D’Amour Flower Garden, as well as entry to the French Village and Spiritual area.
It can be very busy so if you want to avoid the crowds purchase your ticket online and arrive early.
Once you’ve obtained your entrance ticket to Ba Na Hills, head towards the Hoi An station where you’ll find the longest cable car in the world. The cable car ride from Hoi An station to Marseilles station takes approximately 17 minutes. Along the way, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of lush green scenery below, and if you are not shrouded in cloud, you can catch glimpses of My Khe beach and the sprawling urban area of Da Nang.
When you reach the top, you’ll be greeted with the sight of the giant, white-washed, colossal hands holding up the famed Golden Bridge Da Nang.
The bridge was designed to evoke the image of God’s hands pulling a strip of gold out of the land. The shimmering golden walkway stretches 150 meters through the treetops on Ba Na Hills.
Due to its popularity, the bridge is flooded with visitors, day in and day out, however, you will still get to enjoy uninterrupted panoramic views of the landscapes below. If you arrive as soon as the park opens you might get lucky to take some photos without the crowds. Also, hang around till sunset and you might have the same luck!
Visitors can also enjoy attractions such as the French village with its cobblestone streets, flower gardens, wax museum, spiritual pagodas, the golden bridge, Bavarian beer garden, a alpine rollercoaster, and a fantasy park.
A buffet lunch at Beer Plaza was included in our ticket price, the meal they put on in there was brilliant and worth every bit of the cost of the ticket.
