Squats and hemorrhoids can result from heavy weighted squats however this issue is not well acknowledged or discussed. Physiotherapist Michelle from https://www.pelvicexercises.com.au discusses how to reduce your risk of this painful problem to help you keep training. Hemmorhoids and squats can occur during or after weight lifting, Cross Fit or powerlifting. The same training principles apply to men with rectal prolapse from heavy weighted squats.

Hemorrhoids are caused when the walls of the rectal veins are overloaded and strained. When the veins are strained they become inflamed, painful and can bleed. External hemorrhoids are most likely to bleed (usually bright red).
