Napa Valley Wine Train: the return of the ALCOs

After nearly 3.5 years of not running, one of the Wine Train’s famous FPA-4s resumed revenue service! On this day (8/6/22), FPA-4 #70 and RS-11 #62 proudly took charge of the lunch and dinner trains. There are plans to pull FPA-4 #72 out of the grave and it’s currently undergoing restoration/testing w/in the Wine Train’s yard limits. As for FPA-4s #71 and #73, they’re being used as a source of parts for 70 and 72. Kudos to the wine train crew and their shop workers for reviving these beautiful locomotives!
