Carson City to Virginia City by Rail — The Virginia & Truckee Railroad

The Virginia and Truckee Railroad, the infamous Northern Nevada shortline, survives today as a tourist railroad, with trackage rebuilt from Virginia City, to Carson City!!
During the operation season, weekend trains from Carson City to Virginia City are ran, following the original right-of-way. Former McCloud River Railroad #18 is the typical sight for this run, and is featured in this video.

This video starts at the Virginia and Truckee's Eastgate Depot in Carson City, following the original mainline to Scales Siding, and up into Virginia City.
After the northbound chase, and a four hour layover, we capture the #18 depart the shop complex, take on water, and chase the southbound return to Carson City. We begin the return at the F. Street crossing, proceeding down to Gold Hill, and eventually the crossing at Linehan Road, in Mound House.
After arriving at the Eastgate Depot, we capture #18 couple back to its train, before moving back up to Linehan Road. After testing breaks, the deadhead return charges up grade as it races towards Virginia City, at Mound House.
