The talent on that team was legendary. Schmidt, Carlton, Perez, Morgan, Rose. But with many of the key players in their upper thirties or early forties, the baseball pundits mocked the Phillies crew. Geritol instead of Gatorade. The Big Dead Machine. You want a dynasty? How about the Ming Dynasty.
