Hey guys I wanted to make this video because there are a few key steps to the shipping process I feel get overlooked, and with many people selling gear for the first time it can be an intimidating prospect shipping a guitar yourself. Fear not this video is here to help you out with that.
Since I started actively buying and selling guitars I have only had one guitar not show up in the exact condition it was pictured in, and that was because a string broke in the shipping, but other than that I've never had an issue so I thought I'd share some of my techniques with you!
I've also been very fortunate that really honest good people have been the ones to buy my guitars and none have ever attempted any sort of fraud in regards to damage. I STILL RECOMMEND fully documenting your instruments exact condition even if it's just with your cell phone as you are packing it because if you get a sketchy buyer that claims there has been damage that you know you didn't do, this takes the he said/she said game out of the equation and it's on the shipping company and/or the buyer. I know people that have been screwed out of hundreds of dollars simply by skipping that step.
