The GWSR, hosted there Autumn
The GWSR, hosted there Autumn Showcase Gala, with a mixture of Steam and Diesel traction hauling Passenger and Goods trains throughout the weekend. But the no doubt star attraction from the weekend was the return to traffic of GWR 2-8-0 2807 after a 3 & half year overhaul in GWR Shirt Button Livery. We see the 28 feature in 2 shots in this video hauling its first train at Manor Lane and then later on the approach to Greet Tunnel. But before that we see 7820 'Dinmore Manor' at Gotherington and 35006 'P&O' on a rare goods working again at Greet Tunnel. Last to feature is 7903 ‘Formarke Hall’ this a couple of days before the gala, seen at Stanway Viaduct. This done with the drone giving this location a complete different outlook in gorgeous late afternoon light.
Well done to everyone involved in the gala on the day and in the build up, for what was an enjoyable 2 days in the Cotswolds. Plus the good weather across both days also helps out, especially for photography.
