Welcome Back 60532 ‘Blue Peter’ On The Severn Valley Railway

This week saw the first test runs outside of Crewe of 60532 Blue Peter on the Severn Valley. The A2 saw its first moves at Crewe’s (Locomotive Services) last week around the yard and its first moves in steam since 2002. The loco has then moved to the Severn Valley for testing and running in, with light engines runs this week and loaded test runs over the next month. This is the first time I’ve seen this loco in steam and it looks fantastic and will look even more impressive when lined out and the early crest is applied to the tender. Big credit to everyone at Crewe for turning out what will most probably be a mainline favourite.
Looking forward to videoing its loaded test runs over the next couple of weeks on the Valley.
