Leukotrienes/ Biochemistry / LTs/ Lipoxins/ Lx/ Lipoxygenase Pathway/ HPETE/

Leukotrienes are conjugated trienes and are formed from Arachidonic acid in leucocytes , mast cells and macrophages by the Lipoxygenase pathway in response to immunologic and non-inflammatory stimuli.  Leukotrienes have several functions in the body.
          Lipoxins are conjugated tetraenes produced in leucocytes by Lipoxygenase pathway
